Losing Weight After Pregnancy
People been saying that its easy to lose weight if you are breastfeeding. Is that even true? how quick is it? sounds pretty effortless. Well thats NOT true at all, at least in my experience. I mean it sure did help me lose weight but not quick enough. Losing weight after pregnancy is not an easy task. It sure needs lotsa efforts. You have to workout, limit your intake, deal with the temptation of everything. I dont know how in the world could people like Beyonce or Miranda Kerr got their body back, toned, and flat abs in an instant. I mean seriously.. in only 3 months?? that just blows me away. I know they must hired a personal trainer, personal dietitian or nutritionist, or whatever. Yeah, forget them. Be realistic.
I gained 20 Kg when I was pregnant. Yep, THAT much. Then it dropped about 10 Kg after I gave birth (so relieved at that time). After that, the scale just seem like never drop, well just lil by lil. Almost 11 months after my childbirth and I still need to lose 3 kg to get my pre pregnancy weight. Probably with exercise I can lose it faster. Well, I dont workout. How could I workout anyway? I mean, I did a light workout when my baby was around 3 mos. But hey, that kinda workout wont cut my weight. It only makes my body fit. It needs an extra hard and sweaty workout to lose so much weight in a short period of time. I thought if I breastfeed my baby, take care of my baby, do everything on my own, itll help me lose my weight quickly. Im not even a -whole lot-eater. I controlled my intake.
I did some different kinds of diets. I did the famous OCD. The good point was I still get to eat every single thing I wanted in a tight frame of hours. It might work for others but for me.. I just couldnt stand the fasting period. I know I could still drink water , but without solid foods my body just weakened and got dizzy and headache and stuff. You know that if you are breastfeeding, youll constantly get hungry and thristy right. I dont know about y'all but this just didnt work for me. Next, I did the no carbo diet. Yes, that means I didnt eat rice, noodle, potato and so on. Only proteins, veggies, and fruits. This tortured me. How could I not eat rice? thats our main dish in every meal. I dunno its just me or what, but I also got the same symptoms with the OCD when I didnt touch carbo in a few day. So, eliminated.
Then I did the skipping dinner kinda diet. Well not exactly skip it, but more to substitute my regular meal with fruit only. This was good. I didnt get the symptoms with this, cuz I could still eat enough during the day. Now my current diet is probably whats best for me. I eat more often but I cut down the amount. I can have maybe 5 small meals per day rather than 3 large meals. Which in each meals I can have a complete dish in small amount, or either a whole fruit or veggie dish, or just pretty much everything but in SMALL PORTIONS. With this I can still deal with the temptation of many foods in front of me. This really works for me. Not only it helps me lose weight but it doesnt make me dizzy, or weak, or tired easily. It works sinergicaly with breastfeeding, cuz breastfeeding itself burns calories which help me lose weight. I believe if I add up intensive workout to this, I will get my body back by now or even months before. Whatta great combo!
