Baby Stuff: Mamy Poko Extra Dry vs Pampers Active Baby
Just a random post. Thought of reviewing baby stuff since I have talked a lot on mommy stuff. This may be or may not be so informative or interesting. Just enjoy sharing. So, today post is about diaper. Yes, Im one of those mothers who are STILL depending on disposable diapers. My baby wears disposable diaper only at night or whenever he goes out. Mamy Poko and Pampers are my two most favorite diapers, and the two brands that I ve ever tried.
On to the review. Mamy Poko Extra Dry was my baby's first diaper at home (when he was born, the hospital gave him some random diapers which I didnt recognize). Mamy Poko is pretty well known here for the quality. It comes in a pretty bulky design, bit thick. Makes an obvious gap between my baby's legs. Non streatchable. The inner is soft but like I said, a bit thick. Now here comes the magic, it can absorbs so much liquid and stays dry up to 10 hrs. Seriously, that just blows my mind. The downside is whenever my baby is pee-ing so much, the diaper gets so heavy, tough, and hard as a rock. I really mean it. Oh almost forgot to mention, since the strap isnt stretchable, it kinda leaves red marks to my baby's thigh. I dunno its cuz my baby's thigh is too big or purely caused by the non stretchable strap.
Pampers Active Baby has a slimmer design, thin, and yay for the stretchable strap. The first time I saw the sample of this pampers at the store I was like "Im so gonna get this for my baby". The inner is soft as well, but bit thinner than Mamy Poko. Im so... in love with the design since its stretchable. It simply fits my baby. So for the absorbing capability, I find it not so powerfull as it claimed on the package. It is said to be dry up to 12 hours. That just bull.. It cant even beat Mamy Poko when it comes to the dryness. In 8 hours, I can feel the inner kinda damp and so is my baby's butt. Not wet, but lil bit damp. Especially when my baby pees a lot. But hey, we should change baby diaper soon enough thou.
So, all I can say is that they have their own specialties. Mamy poko at night, and Pampers for the day. Im loving them a whole lot. Never have the curiosity about other brands and will not try other brands unless the two of my favorites are no longer exist.
