Product Review : Clarins Travel Vanity Make Up Set

This is my first woman's talk about a woman's stuff. Whats good, whats bad, whats worth buying or not, based on my personal thoughts, experiences and tastes. Nothing about kids or motherhood.

The Packaging of Clarins Travel Vanity Palette

So I bought this Clarins travel make up set about a year or year and a half ago at duty free somewhere I forgot. Thought it would be a handy make up set for on the go. It comes with a nice red leather cover box. The palette has a mascara, a pink lip gloss, 6 eyeshadows, a pressed powder, and a blusher. It also comes with a mini brush and a sponge tip applicator for the eyeshadows.

On to the review. The mascara is okay. It has a black color but not too thick. It doesnt make my lashes look longer or fuller. It just gives some definition to the lashes. The lipgloss is quite nice. Its creamy and definetely gives some glossyness. But what I like the most is the smell of it. It smells so good. The eyeshadows are in neutral color, all shimmery. They are just a big NO NO for me. I mean the color is soooo..NOT pigmented. I hate it. Hellooo... this should be the star of the palette to create so many different looks, but when I put it on, its just too sheer for me. The color doesnt really pops even if I layered it. Then if you look at the mirror, you just cant tell the color. They kinda look almost the same like the baby blue with the white color, or the pink with the purple color. Its just awfull. Thats why the eyeshadows were the only thing left in the box. I just wont use it unless I'm running out of eyeshadow.

So for the powder is okay, it matches my skin tone and gives a translucent finish to the face. The blusher is great. It gives a peachy pink color to your cheeks, not heavy but fresh. Really fits for everyday make up. It just lights up your face instantly. Loves the color. The brush and sponge tip applicator are horrible. The brush looks soft but after you try it on, you will feel like it just a mini brush, cheap mini brush. Not as luxurious as its brand. The sponge applicator even worst. What about the price? For this -not so good - product, its too pricey. I know its a high end brand, but still, quality is numero uno right!
