Baby Stuff: Mustela Stelatopia Milky Bath Oil
I have Mustela Stelatopia Milky Bath Oil for over 10 months now. Still have little amount of it. Have to finish it soon thou, cuz it will be expired on Dec,2014. So, I bought it a while ago, when my babys skin was dry and suspected to have an allergic prone skin or so called atopic tendency. It was recommended by my pediatrician. Since I was like all about the baby, so I bought it right away. I was pretty sad looking at his dry skin. He even got some red spots on certain areas of his body. The doctor said that he was allergic to dairy products. I dunno whether its true or not. I mean I didnt even eat or drink dairy products that time. But hey, I have allergy, his dad has it too, so my logical thought would be he might inherit the genes. This just another drama. Too long to be told.
On to the review. So this product comes in a 200ml plastic bottle. Costs around IDR 400-500k. Pretty expensive, huh? YES! I know, probably cuz its made in France. It has oily texture, runny consistency. Non scented. First impression it doesnt look milky at all. In my mind, 'milky' describes just a form of a milk we normally see. You know.. white milk color and has both texture and consistency as a milk does.
To use, you have to pour 2-3 capfuls of the bath oil into bath water. As for me, I dont really measure it. Depends on how big is your/your baby's tub. I just pour it by feeling. Some splashes will work just fine. When you see the water turns unclear then you re ready to go. This is when I kinda get the 'milky' part. The water gets unclear kinda white-ish in color. Then wash your baby gently, but dont rinse off. It makes my babys skin moist afterward. It wont take the dry skin off and the rashes or redness instantly thou. It kinda works slowly but sure. Well now, my baby has no dry skin or red spots no more. But I still use this product whenever my baby got some red spots again. He might be sensitive to some food, but I kinda notice that he is sensitive to heat. When the weather gets ultra hot and sunny, and hes feeling hot and sweating so much, the spots will pop out on his skin. So yeah, Ill use this bath oil. Its a pretty good product but its pricey thou. :)
